ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION - From the air we breathe to the water we bathe in, the noise we are exposed to, the land we build and grow on, all of these things affect human well being. Environmental protection has risen high on the political agenda due to the growth in public awareness of these issues. EHPs working in environmental protection have an integral role in protecting the public from potential hazards. This could be as diverse as monitoring noise at a rock concert, to assessing if previously contaminated land is safe for use as a play area for children. | |
